2009 Certainly brought lots of changes into my life. One big change is the addition of little Darby to my animal clan. He's a cutie, but a true handful!
I'm hoping to truly commit myself to blogging this year. I enjoy it when I do it, but finding the time can be challenging. Happy New Year to all!

I went to see This American Life on the big screen this week. I had to take a day of vacation to do it, but it was sooo worth it! This is by far one of the best programs on the radio. My favorite part of the evening was Dan Savage's story. I sat there balling through most of it. And to see Starlee Kine in real life was so weird. It's funny to see these folks talk while I'm watching them. I'm so use to just hearing them. Anyway, it was a great night. If you haven't heard of the show, go to www.thisamericanlife.org
The world lost another Golden Girl today. Beloved Dorothy Zbornak Bea Arthur died peacefully today at the age of 86. I have been a HUGE fan of the Golden Girls for most of my life. Then Maude was released on DVD (where's season 2!!!!). It just solidified my love for Bea and the girls. I miss her already!

I haven't seen Stand By Me in several years. It's easily one of my Top 5 favorite movies from when I was a kid. As the credits rolled tonight, I thought about how when I first saw it as a young teen it made me want to go off on some great adventure like the boys in the movie did. Now, in my early 30s it makes me want to write. Sometimes I wish it kinda made me want to go on an adventure instead.
